January Goals + Inspiration!!

Hellllllooo all of y’all! How have you been, physically and mentally and spiritually and emotionally and everything in between? (Let me know in the comments! ๐Ÿ˜) Whose ready to start the year right? (I hope you smashed your fist into your palm and yelled, “Let’s do it!”

Here, lemme say it for the both of us …

(alright, now that I’ve got you all hyped up for success, let’s get into Monthly Goals again … and it’s January 2021! Crazy!)

My January Goals! (I’ll do a recap at the end of the month to share how things went!!)

  • Complete the Chloe Ting 2020 workout. (Which I just did! Woohoo!! It was intense!!!! Even so, those with a decent amount of endurance and willpower can crush it! To see my tips on completing the challenge well, see this link!) I had a BLAST with this one! Throughout an injury, busy days, and lack of sleep, I persevered and you can too! But remember: To God be the glory! Without Him as my strength, I can do nothing.
  • Go to bed at 9:00 every night! A while back I was talking to one of my friends, who also suffers through the Chloe Ting workouts with me – He goes to bed at 9:00. (NINE, you guys!! How??!!) Anyway, I know it’s better for my health, so I’m going to try to get to bed as soon as I get in from work. *nods*
  • Finish reading the Old Testament – read Job to Malachi!
  • Complete 20 Lessons of RPC school
  • Complete 5 Math Lessons (each “lesson” is 5 sections)
  • Drink more water (I’ll bet this is on everybody’s goals list, but for good reason!)
  • Make more blog posts, but don’t let it take over my life. (I’m not fantastic at balancing life, blogging, and school, but I’m trying to get better while still making sure my posts are meaningful and well-written!)

The rest of this month, I plan to work on a few new scales and scale patterns (piano), play violin consistently, paint with watercolors and acrylics, and come up with new bullet-journaling ideas!

Inspiration … from bloggers!

A few days ago I read this post by Tanya over at ‘Inspired to Inspire’, and I found it so meaningful because I have all these visions of what I want to be like in the future, but am I living up to them? Tanya’s post (read it here!) reminded me to live like my future self.

I don’t want to live a stagnant, unexciting life – I want to be passionate, adventurous, strong, resilient, productive, bubbly, energetic, hardworking, efficient, proactive, committed, and godly. I know it takes years to develop these qualities. I know that it’s hard, and the journey there can be exhausting and painful! But I also know that it is so, so worth it!

Here are my anthem songs for this month!!

Feel free to join me in my goals! What are some of your goals for this month? I’d love to hear about it in the comments! I might even join you! Remember, “Teamwork makes the dream work!”

Alrighty, with that cheesy saying, I shall leave you cringing. Stay awesome, y’all!

Those are awesome goals! I certainly need to work on going to bed earlier, on school days I stay up till 10-11. Physically I am doing great! I have fully recovered from my ski muscle pains. Mentally pretty great also! My mental health has been doing a lot better these days, which I am very grateful for. Spiritually I am feeling more in touch with faith these days.

Oh, I’m so glad you’re doing well!! Yes, I totally identify with the going to bed late part! *facepalm* That’s so great you’re doing mentally and spiritually too … sometimes we get so caught up in school and schedule that we don’t notice how we’re feeling on the inside, but it’s wonderful to feel at peace with God and ourselves! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•
Skiing is so fun! We’re planning on doing some this year too! (As a beginner, I can tell you I also get pretty sore sometimes! ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ)

Good goals, Makayla! I’ve been trying to go to bed at 9:30, so I can identify with that goal! And as to how I am… Physically, great!! I’m trying a new workout and it’s so good! Spiritually, good, but it can always get better, can’t it? Emotionally? Well… I’m excited for lunch. ๐Ÿ˜‚ You caught me at a good time! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I can also identify with the trying to balance school, blogging, and other regular life stuff. Something that has helped me is to look at my life as prioritized, instead of a balancing act. If everything was balanced God would be at the same level as schoolwork! Just a thought!
    Keep livin’ for Jesus!

Yeah! your are right when you said drinking water is on everybodyโ€™s list (mine too ๐Ÿ˜…). It was really encouraging and good to read as I relate with you on many goals and aspects like the chloe ting, blogs management and more.

This is so inspiring, Makayla! These goals are so good and I have very similar ones!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I have been going to bed at nine this year and getting up at 5.00 am! It has really changed my life for the better! I was going to make a post on how to do it without dying, for lazy people (aka. ex me๐Ÿ˜‚) but maybe I will do it on my school blog for students one day.
2021 has been such a productive year so far!
I wish you the best with all your goals and I know you can smash them! ๐Ÿฅฐ

That is so amazing that you’ve been sticking to that sleep cycle! I find it SO difficult, so if you do decide to make a post about it on your school blog, I will be looking forward to it! ๐Ÿ˜„
Thank you so much! Sabbath is over now, but I hope you also had a good one! ๐Ÿฅฐ
